Melandri won again at WSBK in Phillip Island

Today at the second round in Phillip Island the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati Team won again with Marco Melandri on the first place. After a pursuit between Melandri and Rae Melandri could compete with Rae at the home stretch in the last round. With a lead of about two hundredth seconds Melandri could pass Rae at the last home stretch and catch the first place for the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati Team.
Chaz Davies led after the pit stop but he crashed in round 12.
With Xavi Forés another Ducati stands on the podium.
Marco Melandri (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati #33) - 1st place
"This has been a crazy race. For ten round all drivers were fast and then the tire chance came... It wasn't easy to make a plan for the last round. I knew it will be hard to pass Johnny, especially on the brake. He raced more aggressive than yesterday. When I passed Johnny in the last round I expected a counterattack, but not such an aggressive one. He was really good in turn 1 and very clever in turn 2. After that I made a plan for the last sector. My Panigale worked great. Thanks to everybody of my team, it's an unbelievable double."
